I think the theme is to follow your dreams because, Ali kept on writing even when he could not sleep. His hero was a famous writer from 800 years ago. He even wrote when the war was happening and the world seemed like pure chaos. He wrote on every thing he could from faded receipts to the mirror for his father to read when he goes to shave. I think that you should read this book and of course follow your dreams.

He always wanted to go to a Brooklyn doggers game and the next day after school his Dad cam home with doggers ticket. 3 of his dreams were to see Jackie and get a ball.his other dream was too go to a doggers game and it came true. They got into the game and a guy hit a homer and he got that ball. Then he got to see Jackie.
